Abstract

The religion of Islam has the distinction of having the most academic work towards the teachings of the Islamic Shari'ah from the practical steps till today. Whether it is promoting and spreading the religion of Islam showing bias in it or denying the perfection and comprehensiveness of Shariat. Like other sciences and arts, many thinkers and people of intellect and knowledge tried to present rational explanations of the rules of Islamic Shari'ah keeping in mind rational debates and made rational debates their academic abode. Such thinkers who ignored the basic ideas and thoughts of religion in presenting these rational points and arguments were looked upon with admiration and the views of the philosophers who ignore the basic beliefs and principles of Islamic Sharia due to rationality were proven wrong. Thanks to scientific thought and historical awareness, it has been considered good and good to use rational discussions for the understanding of religion, provided that it does not turn humanity away from religious beliefs. Scholars, thinkers and philosophers have made such discussions and scientific efforts since ancient times. Such thinkers were also born in the sub-continent of Pakistan and India, who followed to reach the reality of objects by using logical and philosophical methods, among them is Rehmat Ullah Tariq. Below will be presented a critical review of some jurisprudential articles of Allama Rehmat ullah Tariq, which will give knowledge about his intellectual quest and jurisprudential theory.
