Plagiarism Policy

The Zouq-E-Noor Journal of Religious and Social Studies (Zouq-E-Noor) strictly adheres to global best practices regarding academic honesty and plagiarism, specifically aligning with guidelines set by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) where applicable.

  • The acceptable Similarity Index (as generated by Turnitin or equivalent software) for any submitted manuscript must be below 19 percent.

  • Submissions exceeding this threshold will be immediately returned to the author(s) or rejected.

  • Consequences: If a manuscript is found to be plagiarized at any stage, the author(s) will be fully responsible and will be subjected to penalties as per HEC rules. This may lead to a permanent ban on the responsible authors from publishing any future work with Zouq-E-Noor.

  • Detection Process: All received manuscripts will be vigorously checked for plagiarism. We utilize advanced plagiarism detection software to screen submissions thoroughly before forwarding the manuscripts for the formal peer-review process.
